MA in Media & Information Warfare Studies

CMIWS has been the choice for postgraduate students seeking to broaden their understanding in the fields of public diplomacy, intelligence and security studies. Our Master’s programme is developed to produce versatile and strategically knowledgeable experts who are proficient in analysing and addressing pertinent issues through the application of scholarship, knowledge, research, skills and strategies.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS     
     

MA (MEDIA & INFORMATION WARFARE STUDIES)
BA (hons.) degree in relevant fields from UiTM or any institution of higher learning recognised by the UiTM Senate, or qualifications equivalent to a BA (hons.) degree with the necessary experience in related fields recognised by the UiTM Senate.

 

The programme requires 40 credits. These consist of three components which include:

  • 4 CORE COURSES (16 credits)
  • 4 PROGRAMME CORE COURSES (12 credits) &
  • 4 ELECTIVE COURSES (12 credits) from five disciplines

 

Students based on focus of study and experiential learning will take the above courses. Towards the end of their study period, students can opt to write:

  • MA Thesis (an empirical research report of not more than 30000 words) or
  • A report analysis of a case based on a selected organisation or issue or prototype production. (a report analysis of not more than 25000 words)
