Ph.D in Media and Information Warfare Studies

CMIWS welcomes research students and professionals in public diplomacy, intelligence and security studies to embark on our Ph.D in Media and Information Warfare Studies programme. Our Ph.D students will be involved in various research studies and consultancy projects to garner more knowledgeable experiences while honing their expertise.

CMIWS grants prospective Ph.D students full access to its resources as well as networks of contacts to further engage actively to publish their work in academic and professional spheres. This in turn will benefit our students for longer-term career plans.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS     

 

  • A Master’s degree (in a relevant field) from UiTM or any institution of higher learning recognised by UiTM Senate; or
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s Degree (in a relevant field) with relevant experience in a related field recognised by the UiTM Senate;
  • A candidate applying for admission is required to submit a research proposal in the area of study.
  • Candidates will be interviewed to determine their suitability to the areas they specify/ apply.

 

The Ph.D programme is intended for the advanced students who wish to become specialists in media and information warfare studies, as scholars or practitioners. The candidate has to demonstrate substantial knowledge in their chosen field of specialisation and is able to pursue original research independently and produce a dissertation of about 80,000 - 100,000 words.
